taking advantage of grandparents who love to babysit, my husband and i went on an extended date this weekend. and part of it included going to the DIA. it’s a great place to just walk around and soak up some ambience and art… even if you’re not artistically inclined.
i think my favorite spot is this little courtyard (kresge court). i think i would be content to just come to the DIA just to sit here the whole time and maybe have a drink or a snack. if you go there, you’d understand what i mean. it’s charming. i think i long for more spaces like this to go to in our new place of residence – peaceful, clean, inspiring.

and normally i am one to be hiding on the other side of the camera, but for the sake of this little one in my tummy, we spent some time outside the DIA documenting his/her 6 month mark. can’t believe there’s only 3 months to go!

for those of you in the Detroit area, you should totally go visit the DIA. They also have the Norman Rockwell exhibit open right now. And you can even get free general admission at your local library through this awesome program.
