It’s been a lovely long summer in the US for us, filling up on classic summer activities from day camps to camping, and everything in between including swimming, tubing, boating, s’mores, (a LOT of) popsicles, catching fireflies, blueberry picking, BBQ and bonfires.
These images were taken during our first attempt as a family to go camping – we took it easy and picked a family-friendly campground just an hour’s drive away. We weren’t sure how we’d fare, especially with our youngest being just 15 months old. But it turned out to be a splendid time, and the kids are eager to go again.
As the summer winds down, I am thankful for all we’ve been able to experience and time spent with family and friends. I am slowly gearing up for our return to life in Shanghai, and looking forward to what this next year may bring.
