spent a fun-filled morning with these kids.  this is a special sneak peek i know their mom will appreciate.  i was especially looking forward to this session when i learned they were a family of three girls like ours!  perhaps we will get to have one big girly playdate sometime.
love all those gorgeous deep brown eyes.  each girl has her own distinct personality which keeps it interesting!

they say time goes faster with each kid.  is it also true that each kid goes faster?  because my baby was up and crawling on her hands and knees during her seventh month, much earlier than my other two.  and she skipped the army crawling stage altogether.  i think she just wants to keep up with her two older sisters.  and here i am, just wanting things to slooow down a bit so i can take it all in before it (they) passes me by.  nonetheless, here is my baby on the move — not so much a newborn anymore.

footnote (behind the scenes): Isabella wasn’t the only one on the move that day as these photos were taken by me while rollerblading. sometimes the photographer is perhaps the more interesting subject to photograph.

thankful for the time we got to spend together over the summer and the special bond that is forming between her and my girls!  happy birthday serena!

Had the privilege of photographing this handsome young fellow last weekend.  His timing was perfect — first, arriving right after my return to China, so I could catch him at 11 days old.  Then his parents said he was up quite a bit the night before.  Perhaps not so fun for mom and dad, but it allowed him to sleep beautifully through his first photo shoot, and allowed me to capture everything right before a big thunderstorm hit!
And I love the little mohawk.  So nice to meet and spend time with you and your family, London.

this may be one of my favorites so far.

i am having such a good time photographing our little one. this newborn stage passes so quickly, i feel fortunate to be able to capture some of it through pictures.  here are just a few for now.

we are overjoyed to welcome our new little one, isabella, to our family.  she arrived quickly and smoothly just a couple days after my last post.  lovely and perfect.

last week, we got snow for the second time this winter.  (see my excitement about the first one here)  this time it snowed for more than 2 days straight, with at least 4 inches accumulation.  hannah’s school shut down twice (but ironically, not on the day that had the most snow and probably most dangerous).

so we bundled up and went outside to play.  hannah loves playing in the snow (must be the michigan blood in her).  kaylah is still a little undecided.  but at least i had fun catching some shots of my little snow baby.

hard to believe due date for #3 is just a few weeks away.  so pretty soon, we will be welcoming a new baby to the family.  can’t wait.

those eyes!  curious. alert. taking in everything. and so bright and deep, that you get taken in too when you look into them.

just a small sneak peek for this little boy’s family.  at just 12 weeks old, he has already made a major overseas move to Shanghai.  and he was quite a trooper for the session.  amidst crazy construction noises, he played, slept, cuddled, and even took a trip to the playground!  L+J, so nice to meet you and look forward to more times with your family!
