our little one really is our hug machine and we can’t get enough of her. i can’t believe how quickly she is growing so i soaking in (and squeezing and hugging) as much of her baby-ness that i can. can you tell she is a happy baby?
i was pleased to get this shot with my girls too, as i spend most of my time on the other side of the camera. thanks luke for capturing this, and entertaining my obsession of photographing our family. i will treasure this shot and this stage. =)

had a nice quiet weekend that gave a sense of “normalcy” that we feel like we’ve been missing for a while. hannah was in need of some new shoes, so we went shopping… and ended up getting a little something for all the girls. =)

we’ve done minimal clothing shopping for any of us while living in China, so it felt like a small accomplishment (and enjoyment) to venture out and get some new goods.

the hands i caught while they were napping last week. they both fell asleep around the same time, and hannah just draped her arm over kaylah. it was very sweet.

and i can never get enough of little feet. though hannah’s little feet now seem gigantic to me after having kaylah.
anyone else feel their first child turns suddenly gigantic after having a second?

i got to meet this family for a session a couple weeks ago. it was the first time meeting them, but as soon as i saw them, i thought they are truly a lovely and beautiful family.

i know mom has been eager to see some sneak peeks from their session… so for your patience, L, i’ll post a bunch of images!

Mom was worried that we wouldn’t be able to capture Creighton’s dimples, as he can be kind of shy (see that shyness in this look - or maybe he’s just pondering who this girl is with the big camera pointed at him)…

…but it wasn’t long at all before those fantastic dimples came out! And I couldn’t get enough of little Maren’s gorgeous eyes and all her smiles. Maren couldn’t get enough of her own shoes… a true girl already.

then we got the whole family together (can’t leave out the dog, of course). glee!

and i’ll end with a few tender moments.

so nice meeting you all! can’t wait to share the rest of your collection with you.

Here is another sneak peek from one of my michigan sessions.
Took lots of pictures of these kids that day, but the family shots stood out to me in particular. Can you tell this family is a lot of fun? They always keep me laughing.

Aww such brotherly love… and the little one has grown up quite a bit since his newborn session.

On a side note… for you michigan residents, looks like we’ll be around for a good three weeks longer. So i may be open to taking a couple more sessions… if you’re interested, let me know soon! And for you non-michigan people… come visit us! haha.
