a walk in the woods
after a couple weeks of rain, it was nice to make it out for a walk on a clear morning. somehow, the sunlight feels particularly enchanting after the rains… which makes me not mind the rain so much after all.
living on the edge
a partial glimpse at my “kaykay” fearless, explorer, determined, active, resourceful… whenever we walk this stretch in our neighborhood, she exclaims “钓鱼! 钓鱼!” (fishing! fishing!) we find a fallen willow tree branch, she takes it and proceeds to “fish”. (thankfully) she has yet to fall into the water, but has no qualms about going right...
fleeting
People ask me how it is taking care of three kids. It’s kind of like this… The other day, it was a nice day out. I successfully got the 2 little ones all ready to go out and pick up big sister from the school bus stop on time. And i thought after picking her...
strawberry fields forever
Went strawberry picking earlier this week. This has started to become a happy annual tradition. We picked almost 10 pounds of strawberries… and probably had almost as much in our tummies. Last year, kaylah was still strapped in the bjorn. This year, she got to join in on the fun too, and ate the most strawberries out...
H is for Honored | Asuka Book of the Month
Thought I’d take a break from the newborn photos and show some of my older two. I have mentioned before here that I took up a personal photo project last year with another friend to make an ABC Book for my girls. Well, I finally did finish it and am so happy that I did. Aside...

rest
where did this past week go? hard to believe it’s already sunday and a new week is about to begin… but i guess time goes quickly with 3 little ones in the house. hard to believe my littlest one turned one month old today. (!!) thankful (though also pleasantly hard to believe) that we get...
my snow baby
last week, we got snow for the second time this winter. (see my excitement about the first one here) this time it snowed for more than 2 days straight, with at least 4 inches accumulation. hannah’s school shut down twice (but ironically, not on the day that had the most snow and probably most dangerous)....
U is for Umbrella
it’s been a rainy, dreary week, but seeing this weather-appropriate photo brightens my day a bit. earlier in the year, a friend of mine suggested that we try to make an abc photo book for our kids, of our kids. a personal photo project for fun, for practice, for inspiration. after a pretty good...
